About The Author

Avni Phatak is an 11-year-old author with a passion for storytelling and cultural heritage. She lives in San Jose, California and grew up surrounded by the timeless epics and sacred stories of Indian mythology. From an early age, Avni was captivated by the lessons of courage, wisdom, and devotion found in these tales and felt inspired to share them with a wider audience.

This debut book reflects her unique perspective as a young voice reimagining ancient traditions for today’s readers. With a natural curiosity and deep respect for the spiritual and cultural roots of Hinduism, Avni hopes to make Indian mythology more accessible to children and families everywhere-whether they are familiar with Indian mythology or discovering it for the first time-will feel that same wonder and excitement that sparked her as a young author.

When not writing, Avni loves hiking, reading and exploring how these timeless tales still inspire and connect people across cultures and generations.
