In the second chapter, “Review of Literature” has been discussed in which earlier studies have been presented. In the third chapter discusses about “research methodology.” describes the research design, study’s objectives and presents a geographical and historical overview of the study area. In the fourth chapter, “Historical scenario of Kol tribe women”, in which the lifestyle, food habits and historical scenario of the women of Kol tribe after the advent of television have been described. In the fifth chapter, “Socio-economic background of Kol tribe women”, the age, caste, religion, family, marital status, education, family occupation, family income, own occupation and house type of women have been presented through tables and analyzed. In the sixth chapter, “Television and the women of the Kol tribe”, the use of mass communication media, acceptance of new family norms and new lifestyle by watching television are discussed. Importance of women’s career, male participation with women, right to spend income, women empowerment has been analyzed. The “conclusion” has been presented in the seventh chapter.
