The present book entitled as ‘Virginia Woolf and Her Autobiographical Novels’ is a great gift to English literature lovers. This book presents the Virginia Woolf’s biography and autobiographical element reflected in her novels, ‘Mrs. Dalloway’ and ‘To the Lighthouse’.This book is divided into seven chapters. First chapter gives the information about the life of Virginia Woolf, her family background, her education, Bloomsbury Group, her marriage and married life.The second chapter of this book gives the enlightening information about the literary works of Virginia Woolf. This book gives the information of Virginia Woolf’s journalist career. This book highlights her major novels, short stories and short story collections and its themes in short.
The third chapter of this book gives the detail information about the Virginia Woolf’s contribution to feminism. This chapter clarifies the concept feminism with some illustrative definitions and major contributors of feminism.The fourth chapter discusses the major concepts and their definitions which are important to understand Virginia Woolf’s novels. These concepts are stream of consciousness technique, autobiography and biography. This chapter gives the information about the famous autobiographies in Hindi and Marathi language.The fifth chapter gives the chapter wise summary of novels focusing on major autobiographical characters in the novels, ‘Mrs. Dalloway’ and ‘To the Lighthouse’.The sixth chapter gives the detailed information about the major autobiographical characters in the novels ‘Mrs. Dalloway’ and ‘To the Lighthouse’.
