About the book

The book deals with water’s importance in preserving life on earth. The book entails the source of water, its consumptive use, and the importance of its saving. Appropriate references have been made from our holy epics about serenity and the importance of water. The book also stresses maintaining water quality and warns about starting harvesting before it is too late. The book also illustrates through self-explanatory pictures and ancient methods of water harvesting. The book also deals with the Groundwater law about exploitation and conservation recently enforced by the Government of India.

About the author

A retired GroundWater Scientist from the state Groundwater Department U.P. after putting in more than 37 years of active service. During the last four decades wrote a number of technical papers, and organized a number of National Seminars with a Technical Book on remote Sensing with respect to natural resource monitoring. As a passion wrote a number of fiction books on various topics, besides writing a number of small articles on various social platforms highlighting Groundwater problems and social issues.
