ABOUT THE BOOK

The book is an introduction of the concept on guidance and counseling especially for school students. It explains the difference between guidance and counseling, what is career guidance and counseling, how the process of counseling is conducted. It gives an insight of few concepts that a student must know to excel and be successful in life. Few chapter on skills like communication skills, career skills, parenting skills, personality development are covered. It focuses on creating an awareness about counseling and removing the stigma from being a mental issue.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

has done her B.Sc. (H) Chemistry; M.Sc. (Chemistry); M.L.I. Sc from University of Delhi. Qualified UGC (NET) in Library and Information Science, B.Ed. From Desh Bhagat University (Punjab); Post Graduate Diploma In Guidance and Counseling (PGDGC) from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. She is certified by Career Council of India (CCI), NCS (National Career Service), North India Representative of APCDA (Asia Pacific Career Development Association). She started her writing journey 3 years before and is into blog writing, conference paper publication, writing of research papers, contributing to book chapters, and articles in Career Ahead magazine. She is actively participating in attending conferences, paper presentations, conducting workshops, webinars, career talks in the nearby school community and for parents, schools, and students.
