Why This Book?

When I first sat down to write this book, one question kept bothering me: How can I offer something new when so many books and online resources on Vedic Mathematics already exist?

After speaking with fellow educators and listening to the feedback of thousands of seminar participants, I realized two key needs:

1. Students preparing for competitive exams like MBA-CAT, CET, GMAT, UPSC, etc., want practical, time-saving techniques that can help them solve math problems quickly and accurately.
2. Schools and teachers need a book that makes Vedic Mathematics so simple and clear that even an average student can grasp it with ease.
Keeping these needs in mind, I designed this book with two key goals:
• To offer efficient, real-world techniques that save time during competitive exams. For instance, I’ve broken down cube root and square root calculations into separate sections for perfect and imperfect numbers—allowing focused practice on what truly matters in exams.
• To make the book beginner-friendly, I’ve taken nothing for granted. Even basic concepts like squaring and cubing are explained with illustrative examples. Simple language, step-by-step instructions, and abundant diagrams make the learning experience smooth and engaging.

Throughout the book, you’ll find a conversational tone, as if I’m personally walking you through each topic. I want you to feel like you have a guide beside you—someone explaining things clearly and encouraging you at every step.
This book is not just a compilation of Vedic Mathematics techniques. It also includes some of the best global methods for quick calculations—whether or not they are formally part of the Vedic system. My aim was utility over purity—to give students tools that truly work, regardless of their origin.
