About the book

This book comprises three volumes. This is volume one. The author has tried to record almost all the aspects of the COVID-19 disease and the effects of lockdown in almost all the major countries infected by COVID-19. The author thinks that it is a battle between this dreaded virus and the human being, so he designated COVID-19 as the “Invisible Demon COVID-19,” as it spreads terror all over the world. Therefore, the author gives the title to his book as “The Global Terror of the Invisible Demon COVID-19” with the subtitle “A Geographical Study of COVID-19 with Profiles of Every Nation in the World.” In volume one, chapters 1 to 3 contain preliminary information, an introduction, justification of the title of the book, previous literature, background information about COVID-19 that includes the history of the pandemic, an understanding of COVID-19, measures for containing COVID-19, treatment, and management, the constitution and role of WHO, and a global scenario of COVID-19. While justifying the title of the book, the author narrated the agonies and suffering of the people who experienced COVID-19 handling. In chapters 4 to 17, there are two main parts in each chapter: the first part is about the background of the COVID-19 virus variant in more infected countries, facts at a glance, a brief profile of the country that includes pride of country, geography, history, the economy, healthcare, and the legal provisions when an emergency arises in the country; whereas the second part of the chapters contains a geographical analysis of the COVID-19 pandemic in large population Size Countries with a population of more than 200 million people China, the United States of America, India, Brazil, and Indonesia Pakistan and Nigeria are medium-sized countries with a large population, with populations ranging from 100 to 200 million people. Russia, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Egypt, and Ethiopia that includes the emergence and trends of daily COVID-19 cases and deaths with reference to COVID-19 waves, the monthly growth since its inception to June 30, 2022, the temporal and spatial distribution of COVID-19 cases and deaths at the state level, government response, the impact of COVID-19, and treatment and management in brief.

About the author

I prefer to introduce myself as a researcher, a lawyer, a tad of an expository writer, and a tad of a social worker. I hold a master’s and a doctorate in geography in addition to my legal degree (LL.B.). I worked as the deputy director of NATMO (the Government of India). I have participated in numerous national and international geographical seminars and published a number of geographical research articles. In addition to the book “The Global Terror of the Invisible Demon COVID-19” in three volumes containing more than 1450 pages for keeping records and making available for public awareness, I also wrote a book in Marathi called “Gramin Jivan: Vyatha O Vikas; Mendra: Nisargramya Gao; Vansh-Vistar: Integrated Vision.” I practice law and provide free or low-cost legal and social services after retiring. Currently, I serve as the founding president of the Jest Nagrik Foundation, Mangrulpir, District Washim, Maharashtra, India (Regd), which was established to support the elderly, uphold the fundamental values of the Indian Constitution, and encourage students and deserving individuals. I also founded the “SPANJIAN VILLA” Library (Private)at the same place to develop reading culture, which had been lost due to mobile culture. Books in this library assist all competitive examination aspirants and provide in-depth knowledge about life traits. I prefer to assert that my happiness lies in improving and supporting the lives of deserving and underprivileged people, especially in higher education. I keep my mind constantly focused on the welfare of those who are deserving and less fortunate. I like to keep my writing focused on non-fictional human experiences or genuine events. My happiness lies in upholding social harmony, equality, freedom, fraternity, and social justice.
