About The Book
When laws that had kept everything intact start to unravel, what is left of reality? Here in this deeply reflective and dream-like debut novel of A. Saxena, we are led along the life of Aman, genius student and physics mastermind, whose train of thought seeks refuge in the equation and predictability of Newtonian laws. The world for him has always been understandable in terms of formulas, patterns, and cause-and-effect predictability until one night that predictability is shattered. As Aman lies back in his textbook, the world around him goes out of focus – literally and metaphorically. Order goes out of control. Time starts stammering. Gravity goes into reverse. His body, mind, and sense of self start disintegrating into a space that is contrary to everything he has ever believed. What is originally a peaceful evening of revision is an immersive, consciousness-expanding ordeal where science collides with consciousness, and where perception triumphs over reality. With lyric prose, philosophical nuance, and moments of agonized beauty, this book asks: What do you do when smarts can’t keep you intact? Can reason endure the destruction of the self? A science-meets-feeling-meets-imagination genre-bending hybrid, the book is as much an inner journey through identity, exposure, and transformation – as it is an outward odyssey through a universeto shatter.
About The Author
A. Saxena is an IIT JEE (2012) Qualified and Gate Exam topper (2016) with school life influenced by a deep passion for physics, chemistry, and mathematics. He observes the world with both scientific acumen and artistic sensibility and tends to look for links between reason and imagination. His articles are a reflective equilibrium-where analysis is there along with poetic contemplation. Aside from academic interests, he has tried his hand at all types of creative endeavors, from fictional writing to painting. His fascination with stories arises from the idea that intelligence and emotion are not in opposition, but are instead conjoined forces that govern the manner in which we encounter the world. He finds great personal gratification from teaching and mentoring others. Teaching is, to him, not only a career but a means of keeping learning vibrant. This initial book is nearly a journey-a trajectory from com-prehending the physical universe to exploring the boundaries of perception. With a critical and questioning voice, He welcomes readers into a world where equations give way to imagination and science and storytelling coexist in the same realm.
