About the book

I was a very junior officer with only about-a year’s service when we were only to be seen and never heard. I have briefly narrated what I saw and how we lived and functioned in a remote garrison in NEFA. I have described how and why we abandoned our trenches and commenced a retreat to the rear without having faced any immediate enemy threat. I had written all this soon after wards which only some friends and relatives had seen or read. Now some have suggested that I circulate this to others as well. Some junior officers may find it some what interesting.
